Minnesota Vikings Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook is planning to longer participate in any team-related activities until and unless he receives what he determines to be a “reasonable” deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“He’s out,” a source told ESPN. “Without a reasonable extension, he will not be showing up for camp or beyond.”
Cook has one year at $1.3 million left on his contract.
Schefter later added that Cook wants to match if not surpass the deal that David Johnson got from the Cardinals in 2018. Johnson makes $13 million a year, which puts him at the 4th highest paid running back in average salary per year.

Not helping the Vikings matter if them signing QB Kirk Cousins to an extension worth $30 million per year just this offseason. Cousins will make $150 million over five seasons.
Something needs to be done, because Minnesota needs Cook and his 1,135 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns from last season.
