Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has not been in a happy mood since learning that not only Tom Brady was leaving to play for the Tampa Bay Bucs, but Rob Gronkowski was coming out of retirement to play alongside him.
It left him essentially by himself in New England.
That all changed this week when the team went out and signed QB Cam Newton for one year.
Edelman took to Twitter and posted a photoshopped picture of himself with Newton in a Patriots uniform.

Edelman has been Brady’s go-to wide receiver in New England, so it’s not shocking to see Brady chime in with a comment after seeing the above photo.
“I will always be your #1,” Brady said.
