SOCIAL MEDIA WENT NUTS AFTER BRETT FAVRE WENT PUBLIC WITH WHO HE WAS VOTING FOR IN UPCOMING ELECTION (TWEETS)

Former NFL great Brett Favre is trending like crazy on Friday after he took to Twitter and formally endorsed President Trump, citing “freedom of speech and religion” and 2nd Amendment rights as two of his primary reasons for backing the Republican incumbent.

“My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech & religion, 2nd [Amendment], hard working tax paying citizens, police & military,” Favre wrote on Twitter. “In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me & these principles, my Vote is for @RealDonaldTrump.”

The Trump Campaign thanked Favre for his support.

As expected, Twitter went crazy in the replies, with some loving his endorsement, while others attacked him:

Favre joins a few other sports celebrities in backing Trump, including former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, golf legend Jack Nicklaus, UFC Commissioner Dana White, former NFL star Herschel Walker, former NFL coach Mike Ditka, former MLB All-Star Johnny Damon and Damon’s former teammate Curt Schilling.
