Darius Philon is no longer in the National Football League and probably won’t get another shot after video surfaced showing him brandishing a handgun at a stripper.
It all went down back in May when the defensive lineman was said to be in the parking lot of the VLive strip club where Philon was accused of threatening to shoot a dancer and her friend after asking them both to come to his car.
“In the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, the woman alleges that on May 17 … she was dancing at V-Live in Phoenix, Arizona when Darius asked her and her friend to come to his car so he could pay her.
She alleges that when they got to his car … he pulled a gun on them, pointed it at their chests and said, “Which one of you wants a bullet?”
She says when she told him to put the gun down and went to the other side of her friend … he pointed the gun at her a second time.
In the surveillance video … you can see Philon clearly speaking with the two women — but it’s difficult to tell if he ever brandishes a weapon.”
Police would launch an investigation and eventually arrest Philon on August 9th, booking him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Arizona Cardinals wasted no time in cutting him the following day.
In March, Philon signed a two-year, $10 million contract with Arizona and was slated to start on the team’s defensive line this season. He tallied 33 tackles, seven for loss, and four sacks in 16 games with Arizona last season.
