Dez Bryant says he is targeting a return to the NFL this season.
NFL Media’s Jane Slater posted a video to Twitter on Saturday that showed Bryant working out. She also quoted receivers coach David Robinson of describing Bryant as “healthy, moving fast and explosive.”

Bryant also told Slater he was targeting a mid-October return to the NFL. This is notable because as of a month ago, he said he was not interested in playing football at the time.
The 30-year-old receiver was cut by the Dallas Cowboys last year. He went several months without signing despite having interest and offers from teams. He finally signed with the Saints in November but quickly tore his Achilles tendon.
Bryant played all 16 games in 2017, catching 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns. It’s unclear whether the Saints would have interest in signing him again, but he should have no trouble finding interested teams.
